M. M. u. (after Mickey Mouse) In 80, cats organized into criminal syndicates on Planet X are working to eradicate the mouse society completely. One of the mouse scientists, Professor Fushimisi, is working on a solution to prevent this. The mice’s secret service, Intermouse, calls in the help of a long-retired mouse agent, Nick Grabowski, who lives alone on his “God-forsaken” estate. Grabowski’s mission is to bring the scientist’s plan to fruition in time.
To divert attention from Grabowski’s mission, Intermouse launches another agent as bait: the one-man police band, Lusta Dick. Fritz Teufel, the cat syndicate’s deputy chief, overhears the meeting and sends four rat assassins after Grabowski, their first assignment since they were previously ballet rats. Dick’s plane crashes in the Amazon, and Grabowski has to take a very adventurous route to reach Fushimisi in Pokio.
The rats fail in their mission and “go back to the ballet and jump”, but on the way home the cats capture the mouse agent and Professor Fushimisi’s lovely assistant Tsino-san. To the delight of the big catch, Mr. Giovanni Gatto, the leader of the cat criminals, officially succeeds Fritz Teufel. He announces this at a fancy party where he plans to serve Grabowski as the main course. However, he hadn’t counted on Lazy Dick and his new vampire friends with a musical flair, whom he met after his plane crash and who rescue the distressed. And although the cats have destroyed the blueprints, Grabowski’s “mouse-like” memory allows him to create Intermouse’s secret weapon.
The weapon is called the Catcatcher, which is a giant robotic dog that snaps up evil cats and pacifies them.
