MZ\/X (\u00d6csi) is the cubic grandson of G\u00e9za M\u00e9zga, who lived in the 30th century AD. In the first series, Alad\u00e1r converts an old radio into a transmitter-receiver, which is the first means of contacting him. MZ\/X is able to communicate with the M\u00e9zgas, who would otherwise not understand the New Hungarian language in which MZ\/X speaks, using a hand-held device called a time extender. He sends the 30th-century objects to the M\u00e9zg\u00e1 family as a gift by photocopier. They arrive through a window – usually not yet opened. He cannot meet the family’s needs. In the last episode, Paula talks to MZ\/X. <\/p>\n
Aladar’s only loyal ally is his dog Bl\u00f6ki, who sometimes helps him in his experiments. Other members of the family include his fearlessly strict and somewhat clumsy father (G\u00e9za M\u00e9zga), his kindly but not very strong-minded mother (G\u00e9z\u00e1n M\u00e9zga, n\u00e9e Paula Rezovits) and his slightly ditzy sister (Kriszta) and her cat (Maffia). Other important characters are the irritable neighbour (M\u00e1ris) and the only verbally mentioned Hufn\u00e1gel Pisti, Paula’s youthful suitor, whom she regrets not having married, as she says at the end of each episode. <\/p>\n
